Selecting Hints
Select METRAVON data acquisition hardware for field I/O, PLC tags and remote reporting. Compare RTUs, gateways and edge devices, then send an I/O list for quotation.
Where Does Field Data Enter the System?
Prepare a point list before selecting hardware: analog values, digital states, pulses, serial instruments and PLC tags. A cellular connection alone does not acquire these signals. The first purchase decision is whether the unit must wire directly to sensors, read existing devices, run a local application or simply provide IP connectivity.
| Site requirement | Product route to examine | Check before quotation |
|---|---|---|
| Direct field I/O and remote reporting | TG501 or TG511 RTU | Count each AI, DI, pulse, relay and serial channel, including expansion options and sensor power. |
| Read PLCs or instruments over serial and Ethernet | TG451 or TG453 gateway | Map ports, field protocols, tags and the receiving server; confirm the selected firmware and uplink. |
| Local screen, calculations or project software | TG462 or TG465 edge gateway | Define the application deliverable, runtime, data retention and workload test. |
| Network access for devices that already publish data | TR-series industrial router | Verify network interfaces and routing; do not assume sensor I/O or protocol translation. |
For acceptance, trace representative values from a field terminal or register to the receiving application. Check units, timestamps, alarm states and recovery after a power or network interruption. An inquiry should include the point list, protocol and register details, reporting interval, supply, site network and the destination system.
Please fill in the measurement media, the scale, temperature, pressure, installation and output requirements. We will provide model advice and quotations based on the field situation.
