Company focus

METRAVON Instruments provides products and application support for industrial level measurement, level alarms, process weighing, remote monitoring, and data integration. Based in Changsha, China, we serve equipment builders, engineering contractors, distributors, system integrators, and industrial end users.

Our objective is to make material status clearer, weighing processes more reliable, and field data easier to use. We therefore look beyond the sensor itself and consider the complete measurement chain: process conditions, mechanical installation, signal transmission, control logic, data conversion, commissioning, and acceptance.

Main solution areas

Solution areaTypical requirementOperational value
Inventory monitoringContinuous level, volume, or weight data from silos and tanksSupports stock checks, replenishment planning, and multi-vessel management
Level alarmsDetection of full, empty, blocked, or no-flow conditionsSupports overflow prevention, dry-run protection, and equipment interlocks
Silo and tank weighingMass measurement independent of an uneven material surfaceSupports inventory records, dosing, and process management
Batch weighingControlled material addition with formula and batch recordsImproves repeatability and traceability
Remote monitoringCentralized supervision of distributed or unattended sitesProvides status visibility, alarms, and coordinated maintenance
Industrial data integrationConnection of field signals, protocols, PLCs, and software platformsCreates usable data for control, reporting, and operations

Project workflow

  1. Define the task: clarify whether the required value is level, volume, mass, flow, an alarm point, or a control input.
  2. Review the process: confirm the medium, temperature, pressure, dust, vapor, foam, buildup, vessel geometry, load path, and maintenance conditions.
  3. Match the interfaces: verify mounting, process connection, power, output, communication, hazardous-area requirements, and system ownership.
  4. Freeze the configuration: record the model, options, accessories, drawings, register map, firmware, and document versions before ordering.
  5. Commission and accept: check installation, parameters, signals, alarms, reference values, records, and handover documents under agreed operating conditions.

Engineering and delivery principles

We do not assume that one configuration suits every plant. A narrow nozzle, heavy dust, a weak dielectric signal, flexible piping, vibration, unstable network coverage, or an existing PLC standard can change the appropriate solution. Recommendations should state both the intended application and the conditions that still require confirmation.

For OEM and project-specific requirements, METRAVON can evaluate branding, independent model references, labels and packaging, documentation languages, process connections, cables and connectors, output signals, communication protocols, parameter presets, accessories, and software interfaces. Changes that affect hardware, firmware, performance, or certification require separate engineering review and validation.

Information for an effective enquiry

Please provide the medium, application objective, dimensions, range, temperature and pressure, installation details, power and signal requirements, communication protocol, target control system, certifications, quantity, delivery destination, and site photographs where available. This information allows sales and engineering teams to respond with a more relevant product scope and quotation.

Verification note

Product capabilities, test scope, certificates, and delivery documents vary by model and project. Final specifications and compliance claims must be confirmed in the applicable data sheet, certificate, drawing, and written order documentation.
