Weighing Indicators

Selecting Hints

Compare METRAVON weighing indicators for load-cell displays, PLC outputs and filling control. Check sensor input, options and calibration before requesting a quote.

Choose a Weighing Indicator by Its Job in the System

A local weight display, a PLC current input and a filling controller need different electronics. Start with the load-cell type and the action required after the weight is measured. The indicator must provide the right sensor excitation and input range; its output must then match the receiving device.

  • For one analog load cell feeding a PLC current input, review the MV-WI0014 4-20 mA transmitter. Check its one-cell input limit, supply and receiver load before treating it as a replacement for a display indicator.
  • For filling or hopper control, the MV-WI0009 controller offers relay and serial functions. Provide the feed and discharge sequence, I/O assignment and PLC interface; specify optional Modbus RTU or 4-20 mA explicitly.
  • For a vehicle scale, examine the MV-WI0013 truck-scale indicator against the installed sensor network, junction box and print or data-record requirements.

Confirm the complete reading at commissioning

Agree the displayed unit, zero and span procedure, a known-load test and the value delivered to the PLC or records system. A correct local display does not prove that a 4-20 mA endpoint or serial register is scaled correctly. For a quotation, send the load-cell datasheet and wiring, sensor count, power supply, installation drawing and the required display, control and communications functions.
