Industrial measurement built around real process conditions

METRAVON Instruments is based in Changsha, China. We focus on level measurement for bulk solids and liquids, point-level detection, industrial weighing, and data acquisition. Our products are used around silos, tanks, hoppers, batching equipment, material-handling lines, and distributed industrial sites.

Our work starts with the application rather than a model number. Medium properties, measuring range, vessel geometry, mounting position, temperature and pressure, power supply, output signal, communication protocol, and maintenance access all affect the result. We use these details to help customers narrow the product range and avoid preventable changes after equipment reaches the site.

What we supply

• Level measurement: radar and guided-wave radar level meters for continuous measurement in silos, tanks, process vessels, rivers, and open channels.
• Level switches: rotary paddle, vibrating rod, tuning fork, and RF admittance devices for high-level alarms, low-level protection, blockage detection, and equipment interlocks.
• Industrial weighing: load cells, weighing modules, junction boxes, indicators, transmitters, and controllers for silos, hoppers, tanks, batching systems, and force measurement.
• Data acquisition: industrial gateways, RTUs, remote I/O, and communication solutions for 4–20 mA, switching signals, RS485, Modbus RTU/TCP, PLCs, SCADA systems, and customer platforms.

How we support a project

For an initial recommendation, customers can provide the medium, vessel dimensions, measuring range, process temperature and pressure, mounting opening, internal obstructions, required output, communication interface, hazardous-area requirements, and site photographs. We then compare the measurement principle, mechanical fit, electrical interface, and acceptance method.

Support can include application review, model selection, installation guidance, wiring and parameter recommendations, communication checks, and troubleshooting. For difficult dust, false echoes, buildup, unusual load paths, or custom communication requirements, sample evaluation or a defined site trial may be appropriate before wider deployment.

Industries and applications

METRAVON products support applications in grain and feed, cement and building materials, chemicals and powders, plastics and rubber, mining and minerals, food ingredients, water and wastewater, and related process industries. Industry names provide context, but the final recommendation is based on the actual medium and operating conditions.

Quality, documentation, and compliance

We treat quality as consistency between the confirmed specification, the supplied product, its functional checks, and its documentation. Model, range, wetted materials, process connection, power, output, communication, accessories, firmware, drawings, and manuals should be traceable to the agreed configuration.

Where explosion protection, metrology, CE, SIL, wireless approval, or another regulatory requirement applies, the decision must be based on the exact model, valid certificate, installation limitations, and written order documents.
