26 GHz Radar Level Meters

Selecting Hints

Compare METRAVON 26 GHz radar level meters for liquid tanks and bulk-solid silos. Check antenna, nozzle, dust, process limits and output before requesting a model.

Which 26 GHz radar fits the vessel?

First separate bulk solids from liquids. Then compare the antenna against the opening and the actual measurement path. A model name or maximum catalogue distance cannot establish performance through a filling stream, a restricted nozzle or a sloping material surface.

ModelStarting applicationCheck on the site drawing
MV-RD903Bulk solids in a tall silo; horn antenna.Horn and nozzle clearance, feed position and the surface visible at low level.
MV-RD904Dusty bulk-solid silo; parabolic antenna.Space for the larger antenna, deposits and the beam path during filling.
MV-RD905Powder or lump solids at material-specific distances.Required distance for the actual material, horn fit and pile shape.
MV-RD901Liquid in an atmospheric chemical tank; PTFE rod antenna.Wetted-material compatibility, opening and process pressure.
MV-RD902Liquid tank; stainless-steel horn antenna.Available horn diameter, nozzle bore and obstructions.
MV-RD906Liquid process vessel; PTFE lens antenna.Lens exposure, nozzle fit and agitator or inlet position.

For a model-specific quotation, send the medium, vessel section, lowest and highest operating levels, nozzle dimensions, process temperature and pressure, available power and required PLC or RTU input. Specify whether the reading will control filling or only trend inventory. At commissioning, compare raw distance and the receiving-system value at known levels and during the operating state that matters to the project.
