METRAVON MV-WA0007 is a plastic load cell junction box with excitation adjustment and overall dimensions of 172 x 103 x 40 mm. Before ordering it for a scale, check both the terminal arrangement and the room available for cable entries, lid removal and maintenance. The enclosure size is only one part of that decision.
Which plastic enclosure fits the available space?
MV-WA0007 and MV-WA0006 both use excitation adjustment, but their published dimensions differ. MV-WA0006 measures 170 x 80 x 33 mm. A fixture designed around that narrower, lower enclosure should not be reused for MV-WA0007 without checking the drawing and cable clearances.

Compare fixing-hole centres, entry positions and the opening space above the lid. Do not select glands from the nominal cable description: their permitted cable-diameter range must match the actual cable. If the box will be exposed to cleaning liquids, specify that exposure before selecting the enclosure and entries.

Review the circuit before adding or changing sensors
Excitation trim alters the excitation of an individual sensor branch. Sensor input resistance, the number of connected bridges and the indicator's excitation capability therefore belong in the wiring review. Adding a cell is not merely a matter of finding a spare cable hole.
If sense conductors are used, establish where they connect in the complete circuit. Preserve the approved shield and bonding arrangement as well. Plastic construction does not supply a shield-termination rule, and the box should not be assumed to provide electrical isolation or digital conversion.
Checks for handover to maintenance
- Label each cable by its sensor position and retain the terminal map inside the project records.
- Check cable retention, lid closure and access to the adjustment points before the scale is put into service.
- Record response to the specified loading positions, then verify zero and span after any adjustment.
For the wider commissioning sequence, refer to load cell junction-box selection and corner checks. Do not use trim settings copied from another installation as starting evidence that this scale is correct.
Questions about the proposed configuration
Q1. Is this box suitable for installation outdoors without further protection?
The available dimensions and material do not answer that. Rain exposure, temperature, UV exposure and the required ingress protection must be checked for the supplied assembly. Obtain those specifications rather than assuming all plastic enclosures have the same environmental performance.
Q2. Can excitation adjustment correct a reading that jumps when a cable moves?
Investigate the cable and terminals first. A movement-dependent fault may involve a damaged conductor or unreliable connection; changing trim settings does not repair it. Once the connection is stable, repeat the scale checks before deciding whether adjustment is needed.
Send the indicator specification, sensor details, enclosure mounting sketch and service environment with an MV-WA0007 quotation request. Include the present box model when replacing an installed unit.
