METRAVON MV-WA0003 is a stainless steel load cell junction box with signal adjustment. Its 304 stainless steel enclosure measures 153 x 112 x 36 mm. It is a candidate for bringing analogue load-cell connections together in a multi-support weighing system when the terminal arrangement and signal-trim circuit match the sensors and weighing indicator.
MV-WA0003 construction and dimensions
| Item | Specification |
|---|---|
| Enclosure | 304 stainless steel |
| Overall dimensions | 153 x 112 x 36 mm |
| Adjustment method | Signal trim |
These are enclosure dimensions, not mounting-hole centres or the clearance required for cable bends. Obtain the mounting drawing before drilling a support plate. The stainless steel material specification does not establish an IP rating, washdown resistance or suitability for a particular cleaning chemical.

Match the adjustment circuit before replacing a box
Signal trim changes an individual load-cell channel's contribution to the combined measurement. A replacement box must therefore be checked against the existing circuit, not selected solely because the enclosure fits. Confirm the number of sensor connections, terminal functions, sensor resistance, indicator excitation capacity and the arrangement of any sense wires.
The number of cable-entry holes does not identify the circuit inside. In particular, it is not evidence that a box supports every four-wire or six-wire sensor arrangement. Send the existing terminal diagram or a clear photograph of its labels with the enquiry.
For an excitation-trim alternative, see the MV-WA0006 plastic junction box. That model has a different enclosure size and adjustment method; it is not an automatic substitute.
Check corner response after the mechanical installation
Before adjusting a multi-cell scale, inspect the supports for binding, poor seating or contact with adjacent structures. A corner adjustment cannot repair those faults. Compare the response to the same test load at the prescribed positions, following the scale's commissioning procedure. Do not try to make every sensor's empty-scale output identical: the structure's dead load may not be distributed equally.
After adjustment, check zero, span and repeated loading, and retain the results with the terminal map. The junction-box selection and corner-check guide explains the distinction between electrical adjustment and mechanical faults.
Questions about this junction box
Q1. Can this box produce 4-20 mA or Modbus RTU?
It is a wiring and signal-adjustment accessory, not a weight transmitter. If a PLC requires a current signal or digital communications, select a compatible weighing indicator or transmitter separately. The box does not add a protocol to the connected sensors.
Q2. Is the stainless steel version suitable for direct washdown?
That cannot be concluded from the enclosure material. The required ingress rating, lid seal, cable-gland size and cleaning exposure must be checked for the supplied assembly. Where those details are unresolved, do not approve direct washdown on the basis of the product photograph.
Request the correct configuration
For an MV-WA0003 quotation, provide the sensor and indicator models, number of connected cells, existing wiring diagram, cable outside diameters, mounting space and exposure to water or cleaning agents. State whether the order replaces an existing box or serves a new scale, and request the terminal and mounting drawings with the quotation.
