METRAVON MV-LC0225 is a single-point platform load cell with nine listed capacity options from 50 kg to 750 kg. Its 188 mm body and separate attachment regions make mounting geometry a central part of selection. The 750 kg option does not, by itself, establish the allowable platform dimensions, net weighing capacity or weighing division of a completed scale.
Single-point load cell capacity includes platform dead load
Count the dead load of the platform and other supported parts as well as the maximum product load. Assess transient forces from placement or material discharge separately. Taring the displayed platform weight does not restore mechanical capacity. If guides or transfer equipment apply forces to the load receptor, include those connections in the assembly review rather than treating them as unrelated accessories.
Check the eight-feature mounting pattern
The drawing identifies a 188 mm overall length, 63.5 mm width, 62.3 mm height and eight M8-6H fixing features. Compare the actual hole positions, attachment faces and available fastener engagement against the selected drawing. Keep the central sensing section clear of the base and load receptor. The listed outer dimensions alone cannot confirm a replacement in an existing scale frame.
| Item | Value | Use / fit |
|---|---|---|

| Excitation range | 4-12 V DC; maximum 15 V DC | Not an integrated industrial analogue output. |
| Creep, 30 minutes | +/-0.016% FS | Evaluate any prolonged load hold in the intended weighing cycle. |
| Cable qualification | 2 m note covers 50-500 kg | The 750 kg cable configuration requires confirmation. |
| Working temperature / protection | -30 to +70 deg C / IP67 | Identify the housing material and cable sealing arrangement. |
Confirm cable details specifically for 750 kg
The capacity table includes 750 kg, but the standard four-core 2 m cable note explicitly refers to 50-500 kg. Obtain cable length and termination details for the 750 kg configuration before placing the order. For the lower capacities, still check that the quoted cable route reaches the indicator without a splice in a wet or moving section of the machine.
Record platform performance after installation
Use a compatible bridge indicator and calibrate with the final load receptor and wiring. Check unloaded indication, increasing and decreasing reference loads, repeatability and agreed off-centre positions. Catalogue total error and creep describe the sensor, not the installation as a whole. Record the selected rating, excitation, calibration loads and observed results so later maintenance can distinguish an electrical change from a mounting problem.

For a 50-500 kg requirement, compare the shorter MV-LC0222 and its different attachment pattern before committing to the larger mounting envelope.
Capacity and acceptance questions
Q1. Does 750 kg mean the scale may weigh 750 kg of product?
Only if the total supported load and all other application limits allow it. The platform mass and attachments already load the sensor. Define net product capacity separately from sensor rating and verify the full scale arrangement.
Q2. Is a four-corner load test still relevant with one sensor?
Yes. The load receptor transfers forces differently when a product is near an edge or corner. Test the agreed positions using the same reference load, and obtain the permissible platform envelope rather than assuming a single-point designation removes eccentric-load limits.
Q3. What is needed to compare this with a smaller body?
Supply the frame drawing, platform dimensions, gross load, load positions and indicator model. Compare the fixing geometry and rated output as well as the capacity; a higher rating in a different body is not an automatic replacement.
