METRAVON MV-LC0095 is an S-type load cell for axial weighing and force measurement, documented for tensile and compressive loading. Its specified family is 100-5000 kg. For a suspended weighing arrangement, the link carries fixture tare as well as material, and the end connections form part of the measurement path. Select the actual rating and body section before assuming that retained fittings and side supports will work.
Count the supported load before selecting the link
List the suspended vessel, attachments, normal contents and foreseeable peak events. Where several links share a load, assess the largest individual reaction rather than assuming equal distribution throughout operation. Identify guides, pipework and restraints that could carry a changing share of the weight. The bridge should measure the intended axial force; a stiff external connection that bypasses the link cannot be corrected simply by choosing a larger sensor or changing the indicator gain.
Compare the S-type load cell M12 body sections
The 100-750 kg dimensional group lists H80, W70 and D19.1 mm with an M12 designation. The 1000 and 1500 kg rows retain H80, W70 and M12 but increase thickness D to 25.4 mm. Full thread pitch still needs confirmation because the reference gives only M12. A retained coupling may therefore require a thread check even before the thicker body is reviewed for guide clearance. Do not assume a universal coarse pitch from the size label.
| Item | Value | Selection notes |
|---|---|---|
| 100-750 kg H / W / D | 80 / 70 / 19.1 mm | The thread is designated M12; confirm its full specification. |
| 1000 / 1500 kg H / W / D | 80 / 70 / 25.4 mm | The front outline and M12 label remain while thickness increases. |
| 2000 / 3000 / 5000 kg H / W / D | 108 / 95 / 25.4 mm | This group changes to M18 x 1.5 connections. |
| Input / output resistance | 380 / 350 ohms | Input tolerance is +/-5 ohms; output tolerance is +/-2 ohms. |
| Listed precision entry | 0.05% FS | Define the required installed weighing result at actual useful loads. |
| Safe load limit | 200% FS | Not extra inventory capacity or a rating for suspension hardware. |
Keep larger dimensional rows within the confirmed measuring scope
The 2000, 3000 and 5000 kg group uses H108, W95 and D25.4 mm with M18 x 1.5. The dimensional table also extends to higher tonne groups, beyond the 100-5000 kg technical range. Those outlines are not a reason to increase this product range in a quotation without a matching specification. For a higher-load project, obtain the actual model configuration and drawing rather than transferring only the larger thread size.

Check the complete weighing channel after the final suspension is fitted
Use the documented 10-12 V DC excitation and 2.0 +/-0.015 mV/V bridge with a compatible indicator. Complete the actual wiring and confirm force sign using the delivered identification; do not rely on conflicting reference colour labels. Establish empty and loaded references with the suspension, guides and connections in their working condition. Include the smallest useful inventory change and return after unloading. IP67 and -40 to +85 deg C are listed, but the cable termination and attached hardware need their own site review.
Suspended tare and retained M12 fittings
Q1. Can a heavier M12 version use the same side guides?
The 1000/1500 kg reference keeps the front outline but increases thickness from 19.1 to 25.4 mm. Check the guide opening, coupling movement and cable exit before approval. A body that rubs during loading changes the force path.
Q2. Does tare remove the mechanical load of the empty hopper?
It removes the displayed offset, not the force in the link. Include the vessel and permanent attachments in capacity selection. Verify the useful net changes with the completed suspension rather than treating the whole rating as available material weight.
Q3. Can the higher tonne rows be used as confirmed versions of this product?
Not from the outline table alone. The technical range is 100-5000 kg; a higher capacity needs matching product data and a confirmed drawing. Keep the quotation tied to one supported configuration.
