An instrument quotation can be technically correct yet leave the installer without the seal, mating connection or cable entry needed to finish the job. A radar installation RFQ should identify who supplies these items. "Complete with accessories" is too ambiguous when the supplier and contractor have priced different assumptions.
Mark the supply boundary on the installation drawing
Show the radar, process connection, gasket or seal, fasteners, support and wiring termination. Mark each item as included, supplied by the installer, existing and reusable, or requiring confirmation. Existing parts should not be treated as reusable until their dimensions, materials and condition have been checked.

Attach one controlled drawing to the radar installation RFQ
A nozzle photograph helps explain access, but it does not define the thread standard or flange face. Give the drawing a revision and ensure the offer references that revision. When a later site survey changes the nozzle length or bore, send the change back for review before ordering an adapter.
For METRAVON MV-RD12, distinguish the published G1 1/2A and 1 1/2 NPT threaded options from the flanged construction. Connection naming is not a substitute for the specified sealing method and pressure-temperature suitability. Ask for the selected assembly drawing rather than deciding from a catalogue photograph.
Compare quotations using exclusions as well as price
A lower instrument price may exclude a required connection assembly or on-site work. Build the comparison around the same defined scope: instrument configuration, installation materials, inspection documents and commissioning responsibilities. Separate optional services so the buyer can see which costs are unavoidable for the intended installation.
Also state what happens when the site differs from the submitted drawing. An agreed review step is more useful than a broad promise that the unit will fit. Do not allow an installer to compensate for an undocumented mismatch by machining the antenna assembly or changing a pressure connection without approval.
Q1. Should the supplier choose the gasket from the liquid name alone?
No. Concentration, temperature, pressure, flange arrangement and the site's connection requirements also matter. Identify who is responsible for approving the complete process joint.
Q2. Are commissioning services implied by an instrument order?
Not unless the agreed scope includes them. Specify remote review, on-site attendance, required tests and responsibility for reference measurements separately.
Q3. What is the minimum useful enquiry attachment?
A dimensioned connection drawing with its revision, operating conditions and a photograph showing access gives the supplier a workable starting point. Add a supply-responsibility list so unresolved parts are visible.
